-- Solar power has always been in the spotlight at TruPrep, a locally owned emergency preparation store. Now TruPrep is helping raise awareness about exciting new possibilities for solar power, both for temporary and long-term use, with its first ever SolarDay.
Solar power technology continues to evolve and provides an environmentally friendly, completely self-sufficient power supply. On July 27, shoppers at TruePrep Marietta will have access to solar experts from American Solar and Alternative Energies, demonstrations and special discounts including free services.
TruePrep's owners Matthew DeLoach and Joey Smith say that the focus will be on both portable and whole house solar.
“I first used solar as a way to have power out on camping trips,” DeLoach said. “But you can also save an unbelievable amount of money by using it in your home, and more and more people are making the switch.”
TruPrep specializes in providing practical solutions for self-sufficient living and emergency preparedness. The store values educating consumers, and Smith says events like SolarDay are part of that.
“We believe in self-sufficiency and we provide custom solutions for that,” Smith said. “You can use it as a back up or as your main power supply. It can be on-grid and off-grid.”
During Solar Day, shoppers will receive special offers from American Solar and Alternative Energies if TruPrep is mentioned. Offers such as up to three free custom solar designs, a free home energy audit, and select discounts.
“Solar power is an investment in your future and your family's future,” DeLoach said. “It's a statement of how you want to live your life.”
