-- Lincoln City University in Oregon welcomed the grand opening of the Doginal Dogs Library. Co-founders Shibo (David Chaboki) and Christian Barker (Barkmeta) were present along with students, faculty, and community members for the dedication ceremony.

The Doginal Dogs Library is designed to empower learning, creativity, culture, and innovation. It includes sections devoted to digital art, Web3 technology, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and community storytelling. The space features a media lab, reading rooms, computer workstations, recording booths, and a gallery area to display student work and community art.

Shibo spoke at the opening and addressed how education and access are central to Doginal Dogs’ mission. He said it has always been important for Doginal Dogs to move beyond collectibles and digital interaction to build spaces where people can learn and grow. Barker added that the library will host workshops, author talks, guest lectures, and community events throughout the year.

Several programs have already been planned for the Doginal Dogs Library. These include a series on investment education, beginner classes on blockchain, creative writing workshops, digital art mentorship, and scholarship opportunities for students with financial need.

Members of Greek life were present at the ceremony, including the president of Gui Ramma Gui, Anthony Rispoli. He shared an emotional message: “It is not just a library, it is our future. This space represents opportunity, knowledge, and community for generations of students to come.”

Local leaders praised the project. One faculty member said the library is a “transformative resource” for students who are interested in technology and modern media. A student remarked that having access to recording booths and creative tools on campus will open doors that were not possible before.

The Doginal Dogs Library has also established partnerships with independent verified charities to distribute school supplies, books, and art materials to under-resourced students in Oregon. The goal is to ensure that the library serves not only Lincoln City University students but also those in the surrounding community.
