-- Design911, the employee-owned specialists in Porsche parts, attended one of the largest events in Europe, joining professionals, collectors, club members and owners from across the continent at an occasion dedicated to celebrating everything that makes the marque special.
Held annually in Dinslaken, Porschefreunde is a major date on the international Porsche calendar, featuring over 1,000 showcase vehicles spanning the brand's heritage, from classic air-cooled collectable models to ultra-modern high-performance sports cars.

Design911’s Decision to Attend the Latest Porschefreunde Event
For Design911, a well-regarded and uniquely knowledgeable team, Porschefreunde seemed a natural fit. The company is committed to building an accessible community of like-minded Porsche fans and collectors. While this was the first time the firm could join, it seems unlikely to be the last.
Head of Sales Strategies, Anthony Malone from Design911 said, ‘This is an amazing, global event, and was such an exciting chance to meet customers and clients who we already know, but also to celebrate the culture and prestige of Porsche with an audience who shares our passion!
We were beyond delighted to take part and were thrilled with the number of attendees who took the time to come and chat with us, see some of the latest Porsche components and accessories we’ve added to our ever-increasing collection, and to check out some of our very own rebuilds and restoration projects, with our goodie bags depleting rapidly as the event went on.’
Visitors and fellow exhibitors were welcome to explore samples of the high-end, specialist, and hard-to-find parts the Design911 team can source, chat about challenging engine builds and remodelling projects, and share their thoughts on the latest performance upgrades to hit the market.
The Porschefreunde atmosphere was collaborative and a testament to the Porsche community's inclusivity, with owners exchanging ideas, comparing rare classic Porsches, and celebrating their interest in engineering and design.
Porschefreunde’s Showcase of Porsche Heritage and Innovation
Porschefreunde 1. Mai is recognised for its size but also for the diversity of vehicles on display, ranging from meticulously restored vintage cars to performance track vehicles, making this event an opportunity to see the breadth of Porsche history in one place.
Design911, which opened an EU distribution centre in the Netherlands in 2022 and is a significant supplier to European clients, was able to:
- Talk with customers new to Design911 who welcomed the assistance with sourcing hard-to-find components, particularly original replacement parts for older models
- Introduce recommendations for aftermarket performance components suited to modern-day vehicle upgrades
- Engage with professionals to look into how best to meet the needs and interests of the Porsche community
Beyond displays, showcases, and conversations, the high-profile European event highlighted the value of in-person interactions, bringing together passionate owners in a festival-style atmosphere that illustrated the power of Porsche to inspire new generations of owners and drivers.
Anthony added that, ‘Being a part of Porschefreunde was a real pleasure, and we’ll look forward to being involved in this and similar events in the year ahead, giving us the time to acknowledge everything that makes Porsche special while sharing our know-how and experience where it matters most.’
