Defying the Impossible - A Workshop Offered by Y-KNOT Inc. That Aims to Stimulate Knowledge and Nurture Ideas of the Youth

-- Y-KNOT Inc. invites all 14 to 17 years old to join the Defying the Impossible workshop that will be held on September 15, 2018, at 9: 00 am to 4:00 pm. The venue of the workshop will be at Prince George’s Community College, 301 Largo Road Largo, MD 20774 and the guest speaker will be Dr. Aprille Erickson, a renowned and competent aerospace engineer. A lot of relevant and beneficial topics will be discussed that can genuinely nurture and empower the minds of the youth.

The Defying the Impossible Workshop is a highly anticipated and substantial event because all 14 to 17 years old kids that will join the said workshop will get the chance to hear out some important topics to be tackled during the workshop.

There will be competent and knowledgeable presenters in charge of discussing their respective subject matters comprehensively. I’m a Boss will be about entrepreneurship, and this will be presented by Mr. Derrick Young. Make it Rain is all about saving and investing and will be presented by Ms. Jennifer Bien-Aime. The Work it Out is about job readiness and will be presented by another competent speaker Ms. Berri Wells.

The youth might as well be interested in the Work it Out which is about overcoming environmental barriers, and this will be presented by Ms. Jasmin Sellers. Another interesting part of the workshop is the Who You Repping. This will mainly revolve around social media presence and will be presented by Mr. Brian Swilling. Given all these interesting components of the Defying the Impossible Workshop, youth of today aging 14 years old to 17 years old are given lots of good reasons to join and be part of this workshop.

The Defying the Impossible Workshop is Y-KNOT Inc.’s way of fulfilling their mission, and that is to stimulate knowledge, create opportunities, nurture ideas of the youth and teach them with lifelong lessons. The company’s ultimate goal is to eliminate doubting Y and in essence, replace it with the confidence of the Y Knot.

Aside from providing workshops, Y-KNOT is also committed to providing quality and effective mentoring programs and a variety of services and activities designed for the development and betterment of youth in and out of the classroom. Increasing number of youth is now struggling at school or facing the social challenge. Some of them are even heavily entangled in the juvenile court system. Y-KNOT aims to extend help because they believe that youth truly deserve nurturing and support as they mature and become an adult.

About Y-KNOT:
Y-KNOT is a volunteer-driven community and non-profit support group offering mentoring programs for high school and middle school youth in Washington, DC metropolitan area. This works in partnership with faith-based organizations, the juvenile court system and local schools to train, leverage and train mentors to support youth with social issues and academics.
