Birpartap Bhander, one of the two athletes awarded, has been a standout at Supra Academy and the Achieve Performance Centre, having represented his teams in high-level European tournaments like the Heston Cup and Rotterdam Cup, consistently helping them achieve top finishes. He has since become known for his composure, technical skill, and leadership, making him a core member of his academy’s international squads.
Simreet Badhesha, the second athlete awarded a scholarship, has stood out for breaking new ground in youth soccer. The only female athlete selected for multiple all-male Supra Academy travel teams in Europe, she also competes one age group up for Surrey FC's 2010 BCSPL squad. Recently scouted by the Vancouver Whitecaps REX Talent Identification Program, she is rapidly becoming one of British Columbia’s top soccer prospects.
