This weekend, Evans turned her living room into a television production studio, and produced the first 2 segments for your brand new television show, Real Talk. Bringing new elements and never-before-seen-on television guests, Evans has just contracted with Roku Television to produce her own program, and in addition, they’ve offered Evans to host her own Real Talk channel. “What a dream this is,” says Evans, “I spent 40 years in the corporate world, and as an African-American woman I have been preparing for this my entire career.” —
Evans, the author of The Power of Investing In You, to be published next month, is taking the Dallas-female-business world by storm. For a corporate gal breaking out on her own, she’s already grabbing the attention of local media, being featured in the Voyage Dallas magazine, BizTalk Television, and was just appointed to Dallas Chapter President for Aspiring Entrepreneurs Mastermind, “I’m Possible”.
At the catalyst of it all seems to be when Evans started working on her soon-to-be-released book, ”The Power of Investing In You”.
For the last several months, Evans has been drinking her own kool-aid, and she has been investing in herself like never before. “I was just looking to expand my public speaking career, and was searching for more events to speak at, says Evans, “and now, I’m hosting my very own television show, developing a program that provides speakers with a continuous platform, publishing another book, and leading the way for others to take the stage, and share their own stories.”
Inspired by Evans’ own journey, women are taking charge of their careers and standing strong in their journeys. When Evans takes the stage, she encourages women to “armor up” for the battle of life they’re facing, and she reminds everyone in the audience how equipped they are for the journey. One of Evans’ main goals is to empower women to invest in themselves because she says, “you are worth it.”
