Daksha came to public attention when she appeared in BBCs Masterchef in 2006. There she surprised judges and celebrities with the aesthetically appealing, authentic and delicious food. The dishes which she prepared included choices from India, France, Asia and the Middle East. The celebrity panel of judges included Stephen Fry, Hugh Grant and top chefs of Michelin. She reached the final show of Masterchef and decided that she wanted to pursue her love of cooking as a career choice. In 2007, Daksha's Gourmet Catering was launched.
Daksha takes a personal interest in all aspects of the business and has extremely high standards for perfection of every item that leaves her kitchen. She and her highly qualified team offer a range of desirable services, including fine dining for events at some of the UK's most luxurious venues. Owner of the high-end wedding venue Aynhoe Park, James Perkins, praises her abilities highly in catering numerous events at the location. On occasion, the team offers cookery classes throughout the UK. She has been featured in British food media and served in a range of consultancy services.
