Aperion Care operates 41 locations across three states, including 33 — Skilled Nursing Facilities that will implement the COMS technology.
The post-acute organization based in Illinois has seen a sharp increase in the acuity of its residents. The leadership of Aperion Care made the proactive decision to use technology to enhance clinical care and reduce unnecessary hospital readmissions. The general need for clinical transparency reporting that directly impacts a senior care organization’s bottom line has grown with value-based healthcare and the rise in resident acuity.
The COMS and Aperion Care partnership will leverage technology to achieve these outcomes and position Aperion Care as a leader in post-acute care. Aperion Care has begun the implementation process in 33 Skilled Nursing Facilities.
“Aperion Care is a forward-thinking provider in the skilled nursing industry and COMS is thrilled to work with this incredible organization,” said Bill Stuart, President of COMS. “This partnership with Aperion Care was a result of the delivery of our new enhanced workflow solution enabled by the COMS and PointClickCare partnership.”
The implementation of technology has always been carried out for overall improvement in the industry. The growth of the COMS product and integration within Electronic Health Records has been a step toward industry-wide acceptance and adoption of a clinical care software.
Stuart further added, “COMS is dedicated to bring evidence-based care content directly to providers in a way that truly standardizes and improves care delivery, ultimately helping to reduce hospital readmissions and improve other outcomes.”
The COMS and PointClickCare workflow enhancement was released in November of 2017 and has seen significant acceptance in the market. Care providers across the United States are now using the COMS Care Content delivered from within PointClickCare.
As technology, economic incentives and regulatory requirements continue to evolve, this solution will help to facilitate the transfer of knowledge into practice. As a result, care providers can make more accurate and faster care decisions with confidence that they are delivering high-quality care at all times.
