-- The Korean automation provider CIMON Inc. has just built a Smart Factory with its proprietary technology.
Innovation at the manufacturing site leads to improvements in three key areas: product quality, cost reduction, and lead time. In the 1970s, the invention of factory automation technologies allowed manufacturers to have control of their production facilities through an integrated control system (SCADA/HMI). Today, manufacturers use a fully automated production system called the Cyber Physical System (CPS) to operate a “Smart Factory” (also known as a Virtual Factory or IOT or Industry 4.0), which is controlled through the Internet.

The company’s SCADA, HMI and PLC products are used throughout the Industrial Automation industry. Application areas include water treatment system, power control system, lighting control system and an air conditioning & heating monitoring control system.
Although most companies, in Korea and elsewhere, are unable to provide comprehensive solutions for process control, CIMON Inc. is able to supply industrial panel computers, industrial operating Touch panels, and Rack type computers. Their industrial panel computers are supplied with an NT model equipped with the machine version of SCADA, as well as an NP model with the panel PC (PPC) type. It’s no surprise that CIMON’s SCADA software, UltimateAccess, comprises of more than 60% of the domestic market share in Korea.
