Christian tech social enterprise, JESUSLIGHT is delighted to confirm the release of its first product: a touch, voice and mobile controlled light in the shape of a cross.In the run-up to the holidays, with events like Black Friday looming, JESUSLIGHT is embarking on a mission to join forces with non-profit organisations to support individuals and families who have been affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, mental health disorders and issues related to social injustice. The first product in the JESUSLIGHT range is designed to celebrate the true meaning of the festive period, the creation of a new family.
The innovative team at JESUSLIGHT has been working on an idea to connect young people with the teachings of Jesus for two years, resulting in the development of a unique cross-shaped smart light. The light, which features 98 LEDs, is designed to encourage owners to wake up, celebrate the start of a new day, praise and then rest.

JESUSLIGHT’s new smart light is like no other lamp on the market. It has a dual purpose, offering a practical solution at the same time as providing a connection with Jesus and the wider community. With this light, it is possible to use the voice, touch keys and a smartphone app to control light effects and brightness, add a musical soundtrack and even submit and share prayers to a global community. The light illuminates the room, but the team is hoping that it also provides comfort, support, reassurance and a feeling that nobody is alone.

JESUSLIGHT was founded by Melbourne University students, Christian Legorreta and Filvent Rimbun. In 2017, a conversation in the couple’s kitchen inspired the establishment of a social enterprise that used the symbol of light to bring families together, to provide hope and reassurance for those dealing with crises and to encourage people to connect with the teachings of Jesus. The name JESUSLIGHT and the tagline ‘The light that leads to life’ come from the book of John 8:12. The smart light is the venture’s first product and profits will go towards supporting non-profits helping to rebuild families in crisis.
