President and CEO of a Montréal-based company that imports produce and specialty products, CDS Foods, Inc., — Cesare Della Santina has recently attended a culinary benefit for Charles-Bruneau Cancer Centre Foundation featuring the cuisine of world renowned Chef Jérôme Ferrer of Europea restaurant with wine pairings by international expert sommelier François Chartier. The IGA presented charity event was held in February 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Montréal to raise funds for cancer research and to support the development of projects in pediatric oncology.

Cesare Della Santina is a long time supporter of cancer research and cares deeply for the children affected by life threatening diseases. More than 1,100 children are followed annually at the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau with the average age of only seven. All pediatric bone marrow transplants in Quebec are conducted there. In addition to its outstanding hospital facilities and research laboratories with more than 80 researchers, the Centre - the only one of its kind in Quebec, combines adjuvant therapies-art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, with traditional medical treatments as part of its ongoing fight against cancer to increase the children's chances of recovery and ease discomfort during hospitalization.
Cesare Della Santina started out in the produce business in the late 1980’s, and gained his expertise as he worked his way up from retail stores to food service and wholesale. After founding CDS Brokers in 2000 and with much success in the first year of running the business, Della Santina expanded the product line and went from broker to importer. After 13 years, the company was rebranded as CDS Foods, with the tagline - We're more than just GARLIC!
