CaraKit, a leading provider of thoughtful and unique gifts for chemo patients, is renewing its focus on its mission to give the gift of comfort and care to cancer patients. In 2025, the company aims to foster and strengthen its engagement within the community by shining a light on the critical role of emotional care in cancer treatment.
-- To ring in the new year,In a recent interview, Kellie Whitton, the founder of CaraKit and a cancer survivor, shared her motivations for founding CaraKit. She explained that until her personal experience with cancer, she had never realized how difficult it is for both patients and their loved ones to deal with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. From this struggle, she created CaraKit to provide comfort for women needing comforting products that are also practical and treatment-safe as they go through chemo.
Kellie echoed her words at CaraKit’s founding, saying, “The incredible support I received in my healing journey was something I wanted to bottle up and share with others. Establishing CaraKit felt like the logical next step, a new and more meaningful way to use my skills to help my fellow cancer patients.”
Since its founding, CaraKit has focused on providing self-care essentials in boxes of love. The company has become the go-to for emotional comfort and support for women navigating cancer treatments. In 2025, CaraKit announced its commitment to educate more people about the physical, mental, and emotional needs of cancer patients through its curated gift boxes, which feature items selected by cancer survivors.
“Most people want to help loved ones through treatment but they don’t know what kinds of gifts to get them. Many don’t even know that there are gifts that should not be given to cancer patients,” said Kellie. “This year, our focus is on bringing people together and spreading our message of comfort and care much more aggressively because we believe in the power of thoughtful care.”
In addition to providing care packages and an instruction card to guide people through each gift in the box, Kellie will be sharing more of her story, ways to help people going through chemotherapy, and diving into the different products featured on CaraKit and why they make good companions for cancer patients.
As the new year begins, Kellie invites individuals and families to join CaraKit on its larger mission of creating a community of care and support for cancer patients and caregivers. With gift options like organizational tools for treatment schedules and self-care essentials, CaraKit is offering meaningful ways for loved ones to show their support to women facing the challenges of cancer treatment.
“Simple acts of kindness gave me hope during my journey and so many other women have shared the same. We want to spread more of the joy and kindness we received through our boxes of love and our community,” concluded Kellie.
