Salty She Studio Owner/Artist Cami Baker Miller recently won a coveted spot as an artist for the Southern region in Twist Out Cancer’s signature program, Brushes With Cancer. The program matches those touched by cancer (inspiration) with artists to create a unique piece of artwork that reflects the inspiration’s personal journey with cancer. —
“I’m so extremely honored and excited to have been selected to be a part of this exceptional program,” says Miller, “I am a breast cancer survivor myself, and this cause really spoke to my creative heart.”
Miller was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and found her way back to her art during her treatment. She has since opened her own studio and sells her artwork nationwide.
Twist out Cancer provides psychosocial support to individuals touched by cancer through creative arts programming. It started as a small online community in 2012 and has since grown into an international non-profit that has touched over 140,000 people. Their focus is on community-wide programming designed for previvors, survivors, caregivers, supporters, and artists.
