At just 28 years old, Brooke Nistor is already making a significant impact on Canada’s business scene. As the founder and CEO of Premier Staffing Agency (PSA), she has built a company that has transformed the staffing industry while offering well-paying job opportunities for young women. Based in Calgary, Premier Staffing Agency is Western Canada’s largest full-service event staffing agency. Brooke and her female-dominant team specialize in providing staffing solutions for a diverse range of events, including promotional models, brand ambassadors, trade show staffing, and event management. Since its founding in 2018, PSA has experienced rapid growth and now employs over 1,000 people, 96% of whom are women. As Brooke puts it, focusing on the unique needs of clients and offering well-compensated jobs allows the team to support women while delivering professional services. Brooke’s entrepreneurial journey began in her early 20s, when she recognized a lack of role models for young women in business. “After university, I struggled to find peers who I could relate to, particularly women who were building businesses,” Brooke recalled. “I wanted to change that and create an opportunity for the next generation.”
Driven by her passion for mentorship, Brooke founded PSA—not just to build a successful business, but to inspire and uplift others. Her leadership style centers around guiding young women, offering them the tools and opportunities they need to excel in their careers.
In addition to running PSA, Brooke has expanded her business ventures into the beverage industry. In June 2023, she co-launched a liquor label and government-licensed liquor agency. In entering this competitive, male-dominated field, she had a clear vision to introduce something new and fresh to the Canadian market. “I knew we were entering a crowded space, but I believed there was an opportunity for an innovative product,” she said. “I’m proud of the progress we’ve made and the brand we’ve built.”
Brookes’ label has already made its mark in Calgary’s booming music scene, sponsoring major events such as Chasing Summer Music Festival in 2023 and 2024, and Badlands Music Festival presented by Live Nation in 2024. “Sponsoring these events was a strategic move to introduce our product to a wider audience and support the Canadian music industry,” she explained. “It’s about building brand awareness while connecting with a community that shares our values.”
Despite the many challenges in the Canadian liquor industry, she remains committed to becoming a role model for other women who are interested in entrepreneurship. “Women face challenges and biases in many industries, and I’ve experienced that firsthand,” she said. “Whether in law, finance, or liquor, there are misconceptions about what women can achieve.
Brooke is currently pursuing her MBA with a graduation date set for 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and certificates in Project Management and Digital Marketing, all of which contribute to her growing expertise.
As she continues to lead her business, inspire others, and break barriers, Brooke is a young Canadian entrepreneur to watch out for in 2025 and beyond—a true force for change in both the business and community spheres.
