Australian-built clinical reference platform extends access to physiotherapy students and clinic teams

-- Arcane Physio, an online clinical reference platform for physiotherapists, has launched dedicated memberships for physiotherapy students and clinics, including tools to track continuing professional development (CPD) and mentoring across teams.

Peak Physio, a six-clinic physiotherapy group in New South Wales, developed the platform for its own clinicians and ran it internally for two years before making it available to outside subscribers earlier in 2026.

Clinic memberships facilitate organisation-wide access, with CPD and mentoring time recorded and tracked within the platform. The offering is designed to support staff onboarding, ongoing professional development and day-to-day clinical reference.

Student memberships provide the same material used by practising clinicians, together with an expanding library of more than 4,000 study questions. Students can now access the platform for more than 30% below the standard annual membership rate.

"Arcane started as something we built for our own clinicians, so supporting a whole team's learning has been part of it from day one," said founder and physiotherapist Laith Cunneen. "Students are at the stage where their clinical reasoning is still taking shape, and we wanted them to be able to learn from the same material qualified clinicians use in practice."

Members can search more than 400 condition guides, along with post-surgical rehabilitation resources, assessment techniques, clinical prediction rules, outcome measures and research summaries. The material spans a broad range of practice areas, from musculoskeletal and neurological care to paediatrics and women's health.

Because the library is continually updated, clinics can use it as a shared starting point for developing new graduates and junior staff, alongside formal courses and in-house training.

Individual memberships remain available, and the platform's content is written to be useful to physiotherapists wherever they practise.

"For clinic owners, one of the hardest parts of developing junior staff is finding the time to do it well," Cunneen said. "Keeping reference material and CPD records in one place takes some of that load off senior clinicians and makes progress easier to see."
