Assoc. for Swimming Ponds and Natural Swimming Pools Seeks Inaugural Members

With inaugural membership drive underway, four membership categories open up special opportunities for all interested in natural swimming pools, ASPNSP reports

The Association for Swimming Ponds and Natural Swimming Pools, or ASPNSP, began its inaugural membership drive. Founded to promote human health and safety through increased awareness of the benefits of natural, biologically filtered swimming pools, the non-profit ASPNSP™ is the leading organization of its kind in the United States.

Those who join during the inaugural membership drive will enjoy a host of professional and personal benefits, including access to informative seminars and the ASPNSP-facilitated interfacing with the global International Organization for Natural Bathing Waters, or IOB. With interest in natural swimming pools growing rapidly in the United States, inaugural ASPNSP members at any of the Professional, Associate, Student, or Commercial levels will thereby demonstrate their commitment to this important development and open up new opportunities for themselves, as well.

"We're proud to announce that our inaugural membership drive has begun and that our very first members are now being accepted," ASPNSP representative Nisha Kash said, "We've done a lot of groundwork to prepare for this moment, including traveling to the latest IOB conference this past October in Cologne. Even as we enroll our founding members, we continue striving to push the industry forward in ways that will benefit us all. We invite all who are interested in swimming ponds and natural swimming pools to get in touch to learn about the benefits of joining."

Conventional swimming pools rely on harsh chemicals like chlorine to ward off bacterial growth and other potentially problematic developments, a dependence that entails a wide range of costly downsides. A bit more than thirty years ago in Austria, forward-thinking swimming enthusiasts began building pools that instead made use of the biological filtration provided by plants and other living things, with public facilities of these kinds following not long after.

Since then, the underlying idea has been developed much further, with standardized designs and a host of associated best practices now being available. The non-profit Association for Swimming Ponds and Natural Swimming Pools was founded to provide builders, designers, and homeowners with a reliable source of information and advocacy concerning chemical-free pools and swimming ponds. Toward that end, the ASPNSP engages with the German-based, globally oriented IOB and delivers the benefits directly to members.

With the inaugural ASPNSP membership drive now underway, those who join will gain immediate access to a wide range of resources and perks. All members will become able to attend seminars detailing the latest developments in the world of natural swimming pools, along with displaying to others their commitment to the increased adoption of these socially and environmentally responsible assets.

In addition to being allowed to display the ASPNSP trademark as other members are, Professional-level members receive reciprocal links from the website, further enhancing their credibility. More information about the ASPNSP and how to join can be found at the group's website.
