Airparx by Airquee, the UK’s leading innovator in active leisure and entertainment solutions, is proud to announce the successful completion of a major project in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council at the Darwen Leisure Centre — featuring some of the most exciting inflatable installations in the region.
The extensive project includes:
• The largest sealed-unit pool inflatable in the North West of England, a 21-piece modular system transforming the swimming pool into an epic aquatic obstacle course.
• A sprawling 270m² modular inflatable park installed in the centre’s sports hall, offering high-energy fun for all ages.
• A bespoke toddler inflatable and vibrant soft play solutions, designed to engage and delight younger children in a safe, stimulating environment to complement the larger modular inflatable park.
Designed, manufactured, and installed entirely by Airparx, the new inflatable solutions represent a major upgrade to the leisure centre’s activity offering, turning it into a multi-generational hub of active play and community wellbeing.

The collaboration between Airparx and Blackburn with Darwen is part of a wider movement to reimagine local authority leisure; making it more engaging, accessible, and financially sustainable through creative, flexible play spaces in maximising utilisation and bringing family entertainment offerings into these establish community leisure hubs.
