-- Shower water that contains chlorine can contribute to dry hair and skin and can aggravate conditions such as acne and eczema. Chlorine shower filters like the Natural Rapids shower filter can remove chlorine and other toxins that are found in tap water.
Natural Rapids has conducted a survey to see if people can actually feel a difference between filtered and unfiltered shower water. Natural Rapids gave participants a shower filter and asked everyone to answer a few simple questions after they took a shower. 83% of people who participated in the survey said they felt a difference. 100% of participants stated that they would continue to use the shower filter after the survey was concluded.
Towns and cities across the United States filter their water differently. This results in a large variance in water quality across the country. Tap water is typically treated with chlorine or chloramine in order to kill bacteria. Then, on its way to your home, water can pick up heavy metals, sediment, and other toxins from the pipes or the ground. For people who have “well water,” the quality of the water can vary too. Water may have a bad odor or have other contaminants that seep in from the ground, often resulting in “hard water”.
Natural Rapids ran the survey for a week and was able to confirm it’s belief that most people would prefer filtered shower water. There are many situations where a full home filtration system is expensive and impractical. Natural Rapids believes they have the best shower filter because it’s simple to install in any shower, affordable, and very effective.
