After leaving the offer in limbo for months now, the young entrepreneur has officially turned down Sephora’s offer to carry his products.

Sephora, the large chain cosmetics retail store, can now be found in almost every large city around the world. Carrying thousands of brands from around the world and raking in hundreds of millions of dollars per year in product sales, Sephora has become a global leader in the cosmetics industry.

Ryan Zamo, the 26-year-old behind the organic skincare line ‘Z Skin Cosmetics’, has officially turned down Sephora’s offer to carry his line of handcrafted organic products. Zamo announced his decision after recently returning from a 4-month hiatus, the 26-year-old took a break from ‘Z Skin Cosmetics’ after his mother and co-founder of the company was found dead in her Florida home earlier this year. Karen Zamo, his mother and co-creator of the company, was a long time plant biologist and horticulturist, specializing in exotic herbs and oils from around the world.

3 weeks prior to the unexpected death of his mother, Sephora approached Zamo with a proposal for his product line, offering to carry them in stores globally. Zamo commented that he turned down the offer from Sephora in order to re-establish his brand identity, hone in on reconstructing the company, and zero in on fine-tuning his current product lines.
