Can you qualify for the grant if you are a tenant renting?
In short, yes, tenants who are privately renting a property can qualify for the free boiler grant, not just homeowners. Grants are available to tenants who are in privately rented accommodation which does not have and has not previously had a central heating system. The application for the grant would need to be completed by the tenant in the property not the landlord. However, unfortunately tenants in council owned properties of housing association homes are not eligible for the scheme.
