Virtual Reality Storyteller Wins Top Prize with Google's Project Tango

The little engine that could: Female storyteller/producer wins as second award in two weeks! Won for "Best-Looking VR Project ". This is an invitation-only hackathon with Google’s “Project Tango.”

Shero, a virtual reality storyteller and filmmaker, has won a second award! This was an invitation-only hackathon for Google’s Project Tango held at Adobe headquarters. There were some international highly-skilled competitors from professional game companies and even some Google developers. It was clear that her competitors presented a challenge, but that never deterred/discouraged Shero who created, “Trailer Trash” along with her excellent team for the movie game series.

Her VR game series follows a first-person, “celebrity day-in-the-Life" experience; where you, the actor, get to face the pressures of a major film audition via a “screen test”. You suddenly find yourself immersed mid-way through a scene, on a movie set. Many surprises await but you must follow directions to impress the director before he runs out of patience. The virtual reality series is inspired by a moment from her first feature, Juke Box Hero currently in post-production. The movie script is a 2X Sundance Feature Film Lab finalist.

Shero stated she definitely could not have done it without her talented team consisting of Mike Jones, Joe Boyle, and Frances Sierra. This team is thrilled to have won from two different competitions. Next up for Shero is pre-production on a virtual reality commercial.
