The award recognized individuals contributing to healthcare through service, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Vicky Martin earned a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amridge University in Montgomery, AL. She is licensed in MO as a professional counselor.
Her career in mental health includes working in acute care, community health centers, adult prison settings, and private group practice. In addition to her work in behavioral health, Martin recently published “Portraits,” a longitudinal study of her growth and development as evidenced in poetry.
