This prestigious recognition underlines Toni’s exceptional leadership and commitment to evidence-based maternal and child care.
With over 29 years of experience in maternal health, Toni has dedicated her career to improving birth outcomes through evidence-based, physiological birth practices. As the Founder and Director of BirthWise Doula Services LLC, established in 2020, she has played a pivotal role in supporting expectant mothers and empowering doulas through education, advocacy, and mentorship.
Toni currently serves as the Director of Advocacy for DONA International, where she amplifies the voices of doulas worldwide. She previously chaired the DONA DEI I.M.P.A.C.T. Program, an international scholarship initiative designed to support BIPOC doulas, ensuring greater inclusivity and accessibility in maternal healthcare.
Her mentorship programs have certified numerous doulas, particularly in marginalized communities, delivering essential training and resources regardless of socioeconomic status. Through her work, she continues to bridge the gap in maternal healthcare by equipping doulas with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Toni holds a BSBA from Sullivan University, in addition to being certified in multiple maternal health disciplines, including CD - DONA, LCCE, CVD - TVL, CHW, SpBAPand SpBCPE.
