-- On August 25, The Silk Road Ten Thousand Miles Journey · Enlightenment Road, Large-scale transnational multimedia event, concluded in Singapore. The all-media reporting team departed from Shaanxi, China on July 24th, and after 33 days, traveled through 7 provinces and 16 cities in China, crossed the sea to visit Thailand and Malaysia, and finally arrived in Singapore, successfully completing its ASEAN tour.

2026 will mark the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN. The event, themed "Technology Towards Innovation, Civilization Towards the Heart," integrates cultural exchange, technological dialogue, and economic and trade cooperation, and uses multimedia practices to address the contemporary issue of land-sea coordinated development under the Belt and Road Initiative. The press delegation collected four major Silk Road artifacts—Aromatic Herbs, porcelain, silk, and tea—in Bozhou, Jingdezhen, Hangzhou, and Wuyishan, and simultaneously produced special features such as "A fateful reunion after a millennium" and "Silk Road Moments" to record stories of industrial cooperation and cultural exchanges along the route.

At the closing ceremony, Cai Shandi, the cultural counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Wang Gang, President of the Shaanxi Association Singapore, Li Yunfei, General Manager of BYD's Brand and Public Relations Department, and Zhang Lianye, Chairman of Shaanxi Media Convergence(SMC), delivered speeches in succession. Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society, gave a thematic sharing, interpreting the historical imprints of Silk Road civilisation. For the first time overseas, the four major Silk Road tokens were collectively displayed. Singaporean Chinese Fu Huode presented the expedition team with Nonya costumes, Batik shirts, and other Nanyang fusion cultural tokens. The travel document received its final closing stamp, leaving a precious mark of the era on this expedition.
As the official designated vehicle for the event, BYD provided robust mobility support throughout the journey and served as a vivid example of newera Silk Road economic and trade connectivity. Two core technologies – Flash Charging and DiPilot System – successfully withstood the test of complex road conditions. The Flash Charging technology, capable of "fully charging in 5 minutes and topping up in 9 minutes," combined with a gridbased charging station network, solved the pain points of longdistance recharging. DiPilot, continuously iterated with massive driving data, alleviated the pressures of extended highway travel. In the Singapore market, BYD has held the top sales position across all passenger car brands for 19 consecutive months. From January to July 2026, its passenger car market share reached 24.7%, with its pure electric vehicle market share hitting 40.3%.Based in the local high-consumption market, BYD adheres to its high-end positioning and relies on local dealers and 16 retail touchpoints to innovatively create shopping mall experience stores, continuing to write a new chapter of overseas cooperation through localized co-construction.

Chinese new energy vehicles, represented by BYD, are becoming a flowing "Chinese calling card" along the Silk Road in the new era
