Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.
For the first time ever, it can be movie night anytime, anywhere, thanks to the groundbreaking technological advancement of the Nebra AnyBeam. It is the world’s smallest pocket cinema projector - with the power to project a crystal clear picture on to any surface.
“The projector industry has often been overlooked in the tech space, meaning that traditional projectors remain noisy, bulky and expensive. However projection is an extremely useful technology for a wide variety of uses,” says CEO Aaron Shaw on the inspiration behind the project. “We decided to change the status quo - bringing projectors to pockets everywhere and innovation to the space!”
The Nebra AnyBeam is powered by an ordinary power bank or from the USB port of a computer. Users simply plug and play with their smartphone, laptop or tablet to watch their favorite content on the big screen. AnyBeam's laser technology is super-efficient and does not generate excessive amounts of heat, like some older projectors. This means no overheating, no noisy fan and overall reduced complexity of the building, ensuring added durability for the ultimate portable experience.
To achieve this groundbreaking portability and quality picture, AnyBeam uses laser MEMS technology instead of traditional LED or conventional bulbs. The lifetime of a laser is up to 10 times longer than a traditional bulb. This also helps to save users a huge amount of money over the lifetime of the projector. Unlike traditional projectors that constantly need to be focussed, the Nebra AnyBeam picture is always perfect meaning users can project on irregular or curved surfaces and still obtain a crystal clear picture every time.
The possible uses for the impossibly lightweight and portable AnyBeam are truly endless:
• Portable pocket cinema
• Small projection sizes - down to 5” diagonal
• Large projection sizes - 150”+
• Travel display
• Digital signage
• Big screen gaming
• Heads-up-display (HUD)
• Projection mapping
• Holographic “air displays”
“There is a huge gap in the projector market for a truly portable projector. The technology (DLP) that powers most small projectors has been around for quite some time however the laser-scanning MEMS technology at the heart of AnyBeam is a new technology that brings revolutionary improvements and allows us to make cheaper and smaller devices that are unparalleled in performance for their size,” adds CMO John Whiting.
