Following its closure in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, IGB Group is now pleased to announce the re-opening and rebranding of The Boulevard Mid Valley City as St. Giles Boulevard, an evolution that marks an exciting new chapter for the hotel, combining a refreshed identity with a steadfast commitment to sustainability. During the closure, the hotel undertook a RM18 million refurbishment programme to its guestrooms and public facilities with a fresh new look as well as overhauled all plumbing, electrical and air-conditioning systems to meet global efficiency standards. Cititel Hotel Management Sdn. Bhd. (CHM) will continue to manage the hotel under the St. Giles brand.

Speaking about the rebranding, James Loo, the Chief Executive Officer of CHM stated, “Our decision to rebrand as St. Giles is a testament to our commitment to innovation and sustainable luxury. As we embrace this new identity, we are proud to offer an environment where our guests can indulge in comfort while being mindful of their ecological footprint.”

Sustainability at the Heart of St. Giles Boulevard

The reopening is accompanied by an array of comprehensive sustainability initiatives. Among the noteworthy steps taken are:

Refillable Glass Bottle for Water: To reduce plastic waste, the hotel has replaced in-room bottled mineral water with convenient and eco-friendly refillable glass bottles.

Toiletries Revamp: Plastic waste is further minimised by replacing single-use toiletries with refillable shampoo and shower gel containers, complemented by the elimination of bar soap.

• Energy Efficiency: The transition to in-room LED lighting promotes energy efficiency, reducing heat transmission and the property's carbon footprint.

Greenery Enhancement: Introduction of more live plants enhances the aesthetic appeal and contributes to cleaner indoor air.

Bamboo Key Cards: Plastic key cards are replaced with biodegradable bamboo key cards, embodying the commitment to sustainable materials.

Paperless Initiatives: From e-registration to e-invoicing, the hotel is embracing paperless procedures to streamline operations and conserve resources. “St. Giles has always stood for excellence and innovation,” said James Loo. “The reopening and rebranding of St. Giles Boulevard signifies a commitment to providing world-class hospitality while embracing sustainability as a core value.”

Comprising 390 aesthetically designed rooms, St. Giles Boulevard offers a wide range of options for both business and leisure travellers. Whether you are here for business or a family getaway, the hotel’s prime location within the Mid Valley City provides direct access to the Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall, granting unparalleled convenience with diverse dining and entertainment options.
