Thai Union Donates THB 1 Million to IOM, the UN Migration Agency, for Myanmar Earthquake Relief

-- Thai Union Group PCL has donated THB 1 million (approximately USD30,030.03) to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN migration agency, to support emergency relief efforts in Myanmar following the recent devastating earthquake.

Mrs. Chung Man Sammie Ho Dumas, Senior Director, Sustainability and Social Impact at Thai Union, said, "We are deeply saddened by the impact of the earthquake in Myanmar. As part of our ongoing commitment to support communities in crisis, Thai Union is contributing THB 1 million to IOM to help provide urgent food and medical supplies to those affected, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity."

Mr.Daihei Mochizuki, Chief of Mission at IOM Myanmar, said, "Millions of affected people in Myanmar are in need of assistance. We are grateful for Thai Union's generous support, which will strengthen our capacity to help deliver essential humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable. IOM’s partnership with Thai Union plays a valuable role in our collective response to this crisis."

The donation will directly support IOM's emergency response operations in Myanmar as part of the broader humanitarian effort. This collaboration underscores the ongoing partnership between Thai Union and the UN, facilitated by IOM, in addressing humanitarian crises.
