Tahlequah Yoga Studio Announces Planned Expansion

The 108 Yoga Studio now offers a larger array of different classes. The planned expansion will fit all styles of wellness, meditation and yoga.

-- The 108 Yoga Studio and Mindy Hendrix are pleased to announce that they have an expansion planned for the near future. The larger array of different classes will be appropriate for students at all levels and types of yoga, meditation and wellness. The Tahlequah yoga classes help people improve their health and quality of life through the integration of body, mind, and spirit within a welcoming and supportive community at the studio in Tahlequah, OK.

The current menu of classes and disciplines includes Pilates Essentials, Yin Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Reiki. Sunday mornings are set aside for Yoga practice time, regardless of the level of yoga which is preferred. The skilled and experienced instructors are ready to help develop the basic or more advanced movements and positions. The instructors at The 108 are dedicated to helping people improve their health and quality of life through the integration of body, mind, and spirit within a welcoming and supportive community.

The founder of the studio, Mindy Hendrix explained, “Gentle Yoga is a wonderful class for all levels and all ages. We practice a variety of breathing techniques and explore many different Asanas (postures). The Restorative Yoga class will guide you through gentle movements, postures, and breath-work (pranayama) to help restore and renew the body. Yin Yoga is a slow and passive style of yoga, targeting the connective tissues, fascia, ligaments, and tendons. The perfect complement to yoga, Pilates Essentials is a mat class that focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina. The exercises are presented at multiple levels which allow students to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or advanced paces. No previous Pilates experience is necessary.”
