Supply Wisdom has released an MCP server that lets paying customers access supplier and location risk intelligence through compatible AI assistants using a read-only connection.

-- Supply Wisdom has announced the release of its Model Context Protocol server, adding a way for customers to access their vendor and location risk intelligence through compatible AI assistants. Released on October 30, 2026, the connection supports tools including ChatGPT and Claude and is available to all paying customers. The development brings the company’s monitoring information into the chat interfaces teams use for other work.

The company provides continuous monitoring of risks affecting suppliers and the locations where they operate. Its coverage includes financial, cybersecurity, location, operational, compliance, environmental, social, and governance risks. With the new connection, customers can request information from their existing Supply Wisdom accounts through questions written in everyday language.

“Risk teams are already working in AI assistants,” Jenna Wells, CEO of Supply Wisdom, says. “Now they can get the same analyst-verified intelligence there, without leaving the tool.”

The release centers on access to information already relevant to a customer’s organization. A user can request recent alerts concerning a particular supplier, review developments across monitored locations, or narrow a question to a defined period. Results can also be filtered using internal labels, helping teams focus their requests on the suppliers or groups they need to review.

For a procurement team preparing for a contract renewal, that could mean gathering recent supplier alerts before a discussion. A risk manager preparing a committee update could request information about developments affecting monitored locations. These are intended uses of the connection, with the customer’s existing monitoring scope providing the basis for the information retrieved.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, a standard that allows AI assistants to connect with external data sources. Supply Wisdom’s implementation links a compatible assistant to a customer’s account using an existing API key. Customers can work with their customer success manager to establish the connection and begin using the available information.

The server operates with read-only access. An assistant can retrieve and analyze information the organization is authorized to access, but the connection does not allow it to add, change, or remove account records. Each organization also retains control over which assistants employees may connect, allowing the company to determine the tools used to access its monitoring information.

For Wells, the purpose of the release is to make the company’s analyst-reviewed intelligence accessible within an existing workflow. Supply Wisdom describes its alert process as combining confirmation from two independent sources with analyst review. The information available through the connection reflects the vendors, locations, and risk settings associated with the customer’s account.

That approach places the emphasis on the source material behind a response. The new access method draws on the customer’s Supply Wisdom monitoring data, giving teams a defined set of alerts to consult when they request a supplier update. The release changes how customers retrieve that information while retaining the underlying monitoring service.

The server follows the September 23 introduction of Weekly Risk Pulse, a separate briefing designed for recurring reviews of third-party and location risk. Delivered on Tuesdays, the free report brings monitoring activity into a three-page format. Its contents include changes in alert volume, industry patterns, geographic activity, and a watchlist of suppliers and locations showing signs of increasing risk.

Wells has positioned the briefing as a way to help teams identify priorities before their regular discussions. Readers can review movements across risk categories and consider where further attention may be warranted. The report provides a broader weekly overview, while the MCP connection allows paying customers to request information tied to their own monitored suppliers and locations.

Together, the releases provide two formats for accessing the company’s monitoring information, one organized around a weekly review and the other around a specific question. The MCP server is available through existing paid accounts, with setup assistance provided by customer success managers. Organizations interested in the weekly briefing can review its published sample and subscription information.

Wells explains the intended role of Weekly Risk Pulse in practical terms. She says, “It’s the fastest way to walk into a weekly risk review already knowing where to focus.”
