Laser Therapy Treatment (also known as low level laser therapy or phototherapy) is the application of laser light to tissue for the treatment of; tendon, muscle, ligament, connective tissue, bone, nerve and skin injuries. Laser is used to increase the speed of healing, strengthen tissue repair, reduce inflammation and provide pain relief. Laser therapy has been found in various studies to offer superior healing and pain relieving outcomes compared to other modalities such as ultrasound.
