Sukhothai Airport Wins "EIA Monitoring Awards 2025" for Outstanding Environmental Management Commitment

-- Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, the owner and operator of “Sukhothai Airport”, has been honored with the “Excellent” level award at the EIA Monitoring Awards 2025 during the EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025. This recognition reflects the airport’s exemplary implementation of environmental measures in 2025, underscoring the company’s dedication to effective environmental management and its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

On this occasion, Ms. Tresarun Sitakalin, Vice President - Company Secretary and Vice President (Acting) - Airport, represented Bangkok Airways to receive the award from Mrs. Chayanan Pakdeejit Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, who presided over the ceremony held at the Ballroom, Amari Watergate Bangkok.

Sukhothai Airport has consistently received accolades from the EIA Monitoring Awards over the years, including “Outstanding” level awards in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007, and “Excellent” level awards in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2023, and most recently in 2025.

The EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025, organized by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), was held under the theme “EIA Next Step: The Next Sustainable Growth.” The event aims to promote and emphasize compliance with environmental impact mitigation measures, monitoring and evaluation, and the development of efficient environmental management mechanisms. It also serves to recognize and honor establishments that demonstrate outstanding environmental performance and strict adherence to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements.
