Stephanie Lucero-White announces her memoir She Rose From Survivor to Warrior, a 10-chapter account of personal change, identity, family, divorce, and starting a new chapter in life.

-- Stephanie Lucero-White, a wellness entrepreneur and founder of Vibe Yoga, announces her upcoming memoir, She Rose From Survivor to Warrior, a 10-chapter book chronicling the experiences that shaped her personal life and her decision to begin a new chapter after years of marriage, motherhood, and changing circumstances.

The memoir draws on Lucero-White’s experiences growing up in a restrictive environment, spending 20 years in marriage, raising two children, experiencing divorce, and rebuilding her sense of identity afterward. “Through those experiences, the book examines how people can lose touch with parts of themselves while meeting family, social, and personal expectations, and how those aspects of identity can be revisited later in life,” she states.

The book expands on themes Lucero-White has previously discussed publicly, including in a personal talk about her journey. She has spoken about building her life around expectations she had accepted as her own and later questioning those expectations as circumstances changed.

A high-risk pregnancy was among the experiences that led Lucero-White to explore meditation. She later discovered yoga and breathwork, which became part of her personal process of reflection and change. Those experiences are among the events that inform the story developed in She Rose From Survivor to Warrior.

Divorce is another significant part of the memoir. Lucero-White describes the period that followed as a time of both adjustment and personal discovery. Writing the book provided an opportunity to revisit experiences she had previously kept private and to document the process of rebuilding her life.

The memoir also follows Lucero-White’s return to singing, an interest she had set aside earlier in life. As a teenager, she received classical training in Italian opera and had begun pursuing music before marriage changed the direction of her life. Years later, she returned to performing, including singing with bands in the Denver area.

These experiences provide the broader context for the memoir’s focus on identity, personal change, and beginning again. Rather than presenting transformation as a single event, the book follows the series of experiences through which Lucero-White reconsidered her priorities and reconnected with interests that had been placed on hold.

Lucero-White has also incorporated yoga, meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness into her professional work. She has taught yoga for 15 years and has worked with workplaces and communities. Her professional experience informs some of the themes explored in the memoir, although the book centers primarily on her personal story.

She Rose From Survivor to Warrior is presented as a continuation of Lucero-White’s efforts to share that story publicly. She plans to continue speaking about the experiences documented in the memoir through speaking engagements and women’s events.

Ultimately, the memoir’s central theme is the possibility of beginning a new chapter at different stages of life. Stephanie Lucero-White states, “We can rewrite our story at any stage of our life.”
