-- The 10th World Drone Congress and the 13th International Conference on Precision Agricultural Aviation, held in Shenzhen from May 21 to 23, featured more than 1,200 enterprises from 17 countries, over 10,000 drones, and more than 180,000 professional visitors, including over 13,000 international attendees. As one of the world’s most authoritative platforms in the field, the conference invited Yang Bing, Global President of MOVA Smart Agriculture (StarFront) to deliver a keynote address, where he shared the company’s technological breakthroughs and strategic vision, positioning StarFront as a rising leader in smart agriculture innovation. StarFront is a dedicated provider of intelligent agricultural equipment, committed to delivering environmentally friendly, efficient, and precise solutions for global modern farming through advanced robotics technology.

Three Pillars: Era, Technology, Ecology

Yang opened by addressing the fundamental challenges facing modern agriculture: labor shortages, low efficiency, and the urgent need for sustainable practices. “Agricultural automation is no longer an option but a necessity,” he said. “StarFront positions itself as the ‘guardian of the fields’ – a total solution provider for smart agriculture.”

On the technology front, Yang detailed the company’s closed-loop system of “see, compute, act,” powered by multispectral imaging, AI-based data analytics, RTK centimeter-level positioning, and a dynamic liquid circulation system for spraying. The flagship M150 agricultural drone, launched last year, embodies these capabilities, enabling precise operations across complex terrains including mountains, plains, and hills.

Speaking on ecosystem development, Yang stressed that stand-alone intelligent equipment cannot meet the demands of modern farming. StarFront has therefore built a “Space-Air-Ground” sensing network, where drones collect aerial data and ground sensors monitor soil and crop conditions, all fed into the StarFront cloud platform. This enables variable-rate fertilization and precision spraying, marking a shift from automation to data-driven precision agriculture.

New Products: Farming Robot and Harvesting Robot

The highlight of the speech was the first public disclosure of StarFront’s upcoming product lineup. Yang announced that the company will soon launch a farming robot and a harvesting robot, further expanding its smart machinery portfolio.

The farming robot is designed for primary tillage operations such as land leveling, ridging, and rotary tilling. The harvesting robot, equipped with intelligent vision and a flexible robotic arm, can adapt to various fruit and vegetable harvesting scenarios. Together with the M150 drone, these robots will cover the entire agricultural workflow: tilling, planting, monitoring, managing, and harvesting, all connected and intelligent.

Commitment to Empowering Global Farmers

Yang concluded his speech with a reaffirmation of StarFront’s mission: “We want to use cutting-edge technology to empower a new generation of farmers, making farming less laborious and food safer.” He called for industry-wide collaboration to drive the precision agriculture revolution, adding that StarFront will continue to invest in R&D, expand its product matrix, and build an open ecosystem.

"We stand guard over the fields to secure the harvest of the future," Yang said. "That is our mission and our promise to the society."
