Sheena Soler is a Middle School Math and Science teacher at Tucson International Academy with 15 years of combined teaching experience in the Philippines and the United States. She specializes in project-based learning and interactive, student-centered instruction that brings math and science concepts to life. Sheena is passionate about helping every student feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore their potential.
Through teaching, she turns ideas into action, guiding students to apply their learning, ask questions, and discover how curiosity and creativity can make a real impact in their world. Beyond the classroom, Sheena has a deep compassion for animals and is a grounded Christian whose faith guides her values and commitment to serving others.
Upon receiving the award, Sheena shared, “I am deeply honored and sincerely grateful for this recognition. As an international educator, this achievement holds special meaning, reflecting not only my journey but also the diverse experiences and perspectives that shape my teaching.
