-- Sequan Kolibas, Founder & Executive Director of Hope on TTaPP, was recognized with the “Excellence In Education Award” at the Education 2.0 Conference. The conference was scheduled at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA, from March 4–6, 2025. This honor celebrates her outstanding contributions and achievements in the education and learning sector.
Sequan Kolibas is the Founding Partner and Executive Director of Hope on TTaPP, dedicated to combating the stigma surrounding HIV and hepatitis C, as well as offering wraparound care services to those who have been diagnosed. Struggling with her own HIV positive diagnosis in 2013, she lived in silence for six years before taking action in 2020 to help her community. A certified Harm Reductionist and HIV Peer Navigator, Sequan serves on the Utah HIV Planning Group and Utah Hepatitis Elimination Group.
She represented Utah in 2021 at AIDSWatch in Washington, DC, advocating for HIV policy changes. Through anti-stigma training for healthcare providers nationwide, she strives to improve care for vulnerable populations. Her mission is to prevent HIV and hepatitis C, empower individuals, and amplify unheard voices.
At the Education 2.0 Conference, upon being honored, Sequan Kolibas reflected on her journey and the impact of her work, stating, "I am honored and humbled to be receiving this award! It shows me that what I have been fighting for, has not gone unnoticed! It also motivates me to keep being loud and to keep shouting for those in my community who have lost their voices."
