-- The Rocky McElhaney Law Firm is proud to announce that Savannah Eller has been awarded the Max McElhaney Memorial Educational Scholarship for 2018. Ms. Eller will attend Dartmouth College in the Fall.

About award winner Savannah Eller
Savannah Eller was born and raised in Tennessee. One of three children, Ms. Eller is an accomplished young woman who speaks multiple languages. She identified the need for English as a Second Language (ESL) courses in her hometown of White House, and then underwent 150 hours of training to obtain a certification as an ESL instructor – the first high school student to ever complete the course in the 30 years of the certification program’s history. In 2017, Ms. Eller traveled to Estonia on a scholarship awarded by the U.S. Department of State National Security Language Initiative. She is also a trained pilot, having completed a solo flight at the age of 17, grand champion of the local science fair, a former page for the Tennessee Senate and State House of Representatives, a freelance writer for the local paper, and a second-degree black belt.
About the Max McElhaney Memorial Educational Scholarship
The Max McElhaney Memorial Educational Scholarship was founded in honor of Max McElhaney, the late uncle of firm founder Rocky McElhaney. The Firm awards $2500 every year to a full-time student enrolled at an accredited college or university, who is majoring in English or History. Applicants must submit proof of enrollment, a personal statement, an essay on the student’s “gold standard of love,” a statement of financial need, and at least one recommendation. The scholarship winner is selected in August, and is awarded in September.
The firm is now accepting applications for the 2019 scholarship award.
