Rob Greer of Rove Pest Control has announced the winner of the company's 2016 Scholarship. Congratulations are in order for this year's winner as well as all the highly qualified students who applied, publishes Rovepestcontrol.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Oakdale, Minnesota)—Rob Greer of Rove Pest Control has announced the winner of the company's 2016 Scholarship. This year's winner is Janet Vu of Kentwood, Michigan. Vu was selected from among more than 1,000 applicants nationwide. While all students were encouraged to apply for this award, special consideration was given to those focusing their studies on Entomology Related studies and/or activities for school or in the community. A fourth-year student at the East Kentwood High School, Vu is set to graduate with highest honors and an above 4.0 grade point average. She is currently a member of the Volunteering program at Heritage Camp for adopted children and Lead Tutor for the National Honors Society. At the same time, she serves as a lead member of the graphic design club and is a member of several after school sports and activities. Vu achieved a varsity letter in cross country and has been a 2 year section leader in marching band and concert band. She has also earned the distinction of being ranked at division one ratings at both the district and state level. —
Previously, she had taken a large amount of AP classes ranging from biology and chemistry to macroeconomics and computer science. Furthermore, Vu has worked with the ethnic youth group for many years and is also a donor for Pantene’s Lovely Lengths for chemo patients. We want to thank all applicants for their commitment hard work. Each exhibited exemplary qualifications, which made the selection process particularly difficult.

Following graduation from high school, Vu intends to pursue a degree in biology as she has a passion for nature and the environment. She is attending school at the University of Michigan in the upcoming 2017 school year. The $500 Rove Pest Control Scholarship will be paid directly to the University of Michigan.
