Rey Javier, a San Francisco-based housing advocate and community leader, has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition by California State Senator Scott Wiener. The certificate honors Javier's dedication to public service and equitable housing advocacy, as well as his prior work with the Mayor's Office of Housing.

Senator Wiener said, "I hereby award this certificate of recognition in honor of your dedication to public service and equitable housing advocacy."

Javier was also recognized by the California State Assembly on May 24, 2024, with a Certificate of Recognition for his commitment to uplifting underserved communities and expanding access to housing resources. Supervisor Matt Dorsey commented, "Rey has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to expanding access to housing and supporting those in need."

California Assembly Member Matt Haney added, "Through your continued dedication to public service, you have made a lasting impact to the people of San Francisco."

In 2020, Javier received a Certificate of Commendation from Senator Dianne Feinstein for his contributions to community service.

Professional Background

Javier is a recipient of the Emerging Leader Program Fellowship in 2020 from Tipping Point Community, an organization founded by Mayor Daniel Lurie to support community organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with the California Department of Real Estate since 2005.

His credentials include certifications as a Homebuyer Education Trainer from NeighborWorks America, a Credit and Housing Counselor from the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and a Professional Property Manager from the International Real Estate Institute.
