Renew Youth's Renew Man Program Brings Lab-Monitored Testosterone Therapy to Men Nationwide From $200 a Month

The HSA and FSA eligible program includes physician oversight, lab testing every six months, and medication and supplies shipped to the client's home.

-- Renew Youth, the Wisconsin hormone therapy company founded in 1999, is offering its Renew Man program to men across the United States, with testosterone therapy plans starting from $200 a month. Plans include oversight from a Renew Youth physician, lab testing every six months, and medication and supplies shipped to the client's home.

Most hormone therapies are not covered by insurance, so treatment is usually paid for out of pocket. Renew Youth accepts all major HSA and FSA debit cards for its programs, which lets men use pre-tax health savings, and it supplies receipts to anyone who wants to file a claim with their own insurer.

A client begins with a free consultation and a new client form. Renew Youth then books his blood draw at a nearby site run by one of the two national lab companies it holds accounts with, or sends a phlebotomist to his home for an additional fee, or supplies an at-home test kit. A Renew Youth physician reviews the results with him during an appointment and writes a custom treatment plan.

“If you choose a Renew Youth to coordinate your treatment, you will never be urged to undergo a dangerous or risky therapy,” said Nicole Michels, an owner at Renew Youth.

The Renew Man program is built around testosterone therapy, estrogen management and testicular stimulation. Depending on a client's labs and symptoms, a plan can also include DHEA and pregnenolone therapy, thyroid therapy, adrenal dysfunction treatment, sexual dysfunction therapy, longevity treatments, hair loss therapy and weight loss therapy, along with injectable nutrient therapy and nutritional supplements.

Testing is repeated every six months, and the physician adjusts dosages from those results. All medication is self-administered. The company works with more than fifty physicians nationwide.

The program is one of two that Renew Youth has built since opening in 1999, alongside a separate Renew Woman program for women. Its website carries guides on male symptoms and on how aging affects men's hormones.

“Everything is self-administered, on your time and at your place,” Michels said. “The medication and supplies come to your door, and your Renew Youth physician keeps an eye on your labs so the plan changes when your results do.”
