The family-owned Marysville HVAC and electrical company returned to the June 20 Grand Parade for a second year, joining local businesses, families, and community groups in celebrating one of Marysville’s longest-running traditions.

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Product Air Heating, Cooling, and Electric’s trucks looked a little different on State Avenue on Saturday, June 20. Instead of heading to a furnace repair or an electrical call, they were moving through downtown Marysville as part of the 94th Annual Marysville Strawberry Festival Grand Parade. The 5 p.m. parade marked Product Air Heating, Cooling, and Electric’s second consecutive year in the lineup. The Marysville-based family business joined the official parade lineup with its own vehicles, taking part alongside other local businesses, community groups, and families in a celebration that has been part of the city since 1932.

For Product Air Heating, Cooling, and Electric, returning was about more than bringing company trucks into the parade. It was a chance to take part in a hometown tradition and spend time with the community outside of a service call. “We’re based here. Our trucks are all over Marysville during the week, usually because somebody needs us at their house,” said Sergey Nikolin, co-founder of Product Air. “The parade is completely different. You get families waving, kids checking out the trucks, people you recognize from around town. We had a great time last year, so coming back was an easy call.”

The Grand Parade runs south along State Avenue from 76th Street NE before turning west at Fifth Street near the Marysville Civic Center. It remains one of the signature events of the annual Strawberry Festival, a Marysville tradition that began as a celebration of the area’s strawberry-growing roots and has continued for more than nine decades.

Product Air took part as a commercial parade participant. Like other participating businesses, the company paid the required entry fee and joined the official lineup, supporting the event through its participation and helping create the community atmosphere along State Avenue.

“Maryfest, the sponsors, the local businesses and everyone who takes part are what make the day feel like a real community celebration,” Nikolin said. “For us, it’s a chance to bring the trucks out, meet people outside of a service call, tell them a little about who we are and be part of the celebration.”

That local connection is especially natural for Product Air. The company was founded in 2017 and is run by brothers Eli, Robert and Sergey Nikolin. Marysville remains its home base, with additional locations in Issaquah and Seattle. During the rest of the year, Product Air’s vehicles are on the road for heating, cooling and electrical work throughout Western Washington. The Strawberry Festival gives residents a chance to see those same trucks in a completely different setting, meet the people behind the company and learn more about Product Air outside of a service call.

Product Air Heating, Cooling, and Electric has built much of its public identity around the idea of being a “Tech Brother From Another Mother,” a more personal approach to home service that treats customers like neighbors rather than work orders. The Strawberry Festival gives the company a chance to live that idea outside of a service call by showing up as part of the same community it serves every day.

The festival itself has changed considerably since its beginnings in 1932, but its role in Marysville has remained recognizable. It brings residents downtown for a series of June events, with the Grand Parade serving as one of the weekend’s most visible traditions. Local businesses are part of that mix. Some support the festival through sponsorships. Others enter the parade, operate booths or participate in the surrounding events. Together, those businesses and community groups help turn the parade into more than a procession. They create a setting where residents can meet local companies, learn who is behind them, and spend time together outside the usual customer relationship.

Product Air plans to keep coming back when it can. “We spend most of the year meeting people when something at home isn’t working,” Nikolin said. “It’s nice to see everybody when nothing is broken for once.”
