As Postbox will soon cease operations, Mailbird offers all affected users free access to its award-winning email and app management platform. Both new and long-time Postbox customers can transition to Mailbird at no cost. The license provides access to some of Mailbird’s most popular features, such as unified inbox, native calendar, contact manager, advanced search, and send later.
Mailbird Head of Growth Alexis Dolle commented: “With Postbox no longer being sold and developed, we’re offering a straightforward alternative to all Postbox users. They can continue to enjoy a fully supported email client without incurring extra costs. Whether you’re a recent or long-term user, Mailbird is here to help you make the switch hassle-free.”
Postbox will no longer be maintained
Postbox Inc., a well-known email client, has officially ceased all sales and ongoing development, following its acquisition by eM Client. While eM Client has taken over Postbox’s assets, Postbox will no longer be maintained after December 24, 2024. After this date, the software won’t receive any more updates. Maintenance and updates are vital to keeping the email client functional and secure over time.
As part of the acquisition, Postbox users who purchased the software after September 22, 2024, will be able to migrate to eM Client at no cost. However, users who purchased Postbox before this date will need to pay for a transition to eM Client, though they are being offered a 50% discount on the purchase price.
How to claim the free Mailbird license
Postbox users can claim their free Mailbird license by visiting getmailbird.com/postbox and following the verification process to confirm their Postbox license ownership. The offer is available until December 31, 2024.
