We feel that it’s important to contribute to that work in whatever ways we can, and to uphold the mission of AAJ. We look forward to continuing to work with our colleagues to do just that.”
AAJ is the nation’s largest trial bar. This year’s AAJ convention was held virtually, offering seminars and CLE credits, and hosting online meetings for groups, caucuses, and committees.
Honors and accolades for Paulson & Nace, PLLC
Firm founder Barry J. Nace was the 2020 recipient of the Leonard M. Ring Champion of Justice Award. The award recognizes an AAJ member of at least 10 years who epitomizes “outstanding integrity and overall character and has demonstrated Leonard Ring’s devotion to human and civil rights. The Award is given to a member who has provided distinguished service in advancing AAJ’s mission and growth, and made outstanding contributions to trial advocacy and the legal profession.” Mr. Nace has served in multiple leadership positions in AAJ over the past 40 years, including as President and as Chair of the AAJ PAC.
Partner Christopher T. Nace received multiple awards at this year’s AAJ convention. He received the Distinguished Service Award, which is given to Board members who have gone above and beyond to promote AAJ’s mission, and who have been of particular assistance to AAJ’s President; this is the fourth time he has been honored with this award. He also received the prestigious Wiedemann Wysocki Award in recognition for his “outstanding efforts to support AAJ PAC and advance AAJ’s political priorities” for the second time, and earned a Certificate of Recognition for overall contributions to the organization. Christopher Nace was also elevated to the position of Online Content Editor of the Solo and Small Firm Section of AAJ, and to the position of Treasurer of the Pound Institute for Civil Justice. He was elected for the second year to AAJ’s Executive Committee.
Partner Matthew A. Nace was elected as the Board of Governors’ representative for the Section Leaders Council, and continues to serve on AAJ’s Law School, Convention Planning, and Exchange Committees. He is the Past-Chair of AAJ’s Motor Vehicle Collision Highway and Premises Liability Section.
All three attorneys have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and are active members of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
