New startup, Nomsy, announced today that they along with The Celiac Disease Foundation Team Gluten-Free, and End Allergies Together (EAT) will raise funds to empower those with dietary restrictions. The company is set out to raise $50,000 on GoFundMe with these two organizations to support their efforts as well as finalize development for Nomsy. —
The co-founder of Nomsy, Robert Greenfield IV, had this to say about the campaign. “There are over 100 million Americans who are living with a dietary restriction. These individuals have to pay close attention to what they put in their bodies each and everyday. We created this campaign for everyone. No one should be limited in their life experiences, and that’s why we are developing Nomsy and working with these wonderful organizations to empower everyone to have a great foodie life.”
Robert Greenfield IV, along with Julian Turley and Evan Leung is developing a web and mobile food discovery platform to help those with diverse food lifestyles to find meals that fit their lifestyles. People who use Nomsy will be able to engage with their foodie community by sharing tips, recipes, and advice on food that interests them.
Greenfield continues, “We are very excited to work with The Celiac Disease Foundation Team Gluten-Free and EAT (End Allergies Together) to fundraise for a solution to this real problem. Half of the proceeds will go to both of these great organizations, while the other half will go to develop Nomsy.”
The Celiac Disease Foundation Team Gluten-Free is a community fundraising program that provides a simple way for athletes and non-athletes alike to raise awareness and funds for Celiac Disease Foundation’s programs for advocacy, education and advancing research.
End Allergies Together, known by the acronym EAT, is the only independent organization solely focused on raising money to finding a cure for food allergies by directly funding the researchers who strive to find solutions for this growing epidemic.
The GoFundMe campaign will run from today until December 1st of 2015. Those who are interested can visit gofundme.com/nomsy to donate or spread the word about the campaign.
