“It’s incredibly cliche, but it was a case of ‘who you know,’” — Cory Keate stated as he explained his connection with KickFire. “KickFire had helped Kristin Barrus get RIOT Conditioning up and running. Kristin dropped my name to Janelle, and--the next thing I know--I’m working with KickFire!”
Keate’s enthusiasm is palpable as he talks about his first meeting with Janelle Page, CEO, and Tyler Seamons, COO, of KickFire. “I could tell we had serious synergy; I immediately felt KickFire was going to release the latent potential, creativity, and talent I had stirring inside. It was a match made in business heaven.”
“I can’t believe we recruited Cory!” raves Page. Keate’s abilities impressed Page and Seamons following some freelance work and it wasn’t long before they had to have him. “Cory is an extremely talented and gifted marketing strategist,” asserts Page. “He is a great addition to the KickFire team and we are stoked to have him as Creative Director.”
As Creative Director, Keate is tasked to amplify the vision behind clients’ marketing campaigns:
- Research the client’s product/service,
- Review branding, and
- Resolve the competitive landscape.
He will process client messaging, assemble teams, assign tasks, oversee execution, and report on the campaign success.
Keate graduated from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business with an MBA. He took an internship at FranklinCovey with the Marketing Director of the Education Practice, and then worked as a consultant within the digital marketing analytics industry. Prior to Kickfire, Keate worked at the Shingo Institute as the Marketing Manager and oversaw all marketing and public relations efforts and led the organization through a complete rebrand.
“At Shingo, my marketing efforts there were always on an international scale,” Keate clarifies. “But at KickFire, I’m working on a more intimate scale and immersing myself--my energy and passion--in the vitality of niche markets to do something great! We cultivate lasting relationships of trust and respect, not to mention loving the heck out of those people we serve.”
“This is much more than a job to me,” Keate shares. “Nothing within KickFire’s culture speaks to short-sighted, tactical gains at the expense of strategic growth. Relationships are too important.”
