Mysti's Adult and Family Services is spotlighting Alameda County's 2-1-1 resource network in a new episode of The Giovanne Show, hosted by founder Giovanne Schachere. The latest installment features Eden I&R Chief Executive Officer Jazmyn Brown, who leads the regional nonprofit operating the 2-1-1 service.

-- Mysti's Adult and Family Services has recently released a new episode of The Giovanne Show, an interview series hosted by founder Giovanne Schachere. The episode features a conversation with Jazmyn Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Eden I&R, the Alameda County nonprofit behind 2-1-1. It continues the company's effort to feature community leaders working across Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and California.

Eden I&R describes 2-1-1 as a free, confidential, multilingual service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, connecting Alameda County residents with housing information and critical health and human services. The agency's wider resource network covers more than 2,800 programs across over 1,100 partner agencies.

Brown has more than 17 years of nonprofit experience, including leadership in equity-driven programming, trauma-informed service delivery, and culturally responsive community engagement, according to materials from Eden I&R. Brown is a Bay Area native with longstanding ties to Alameda County.

The episode positions 2-1-1 less as a referral hotline and more as a frontline entry point for residents seeking shelter, food, safety, transportation, care, and stability. The conversation examines the leadership, strategy, and community trust required to keep that infrastructure running for parents, seniors, survivors, workers, and families attempting to work through systems that often feel disconnected.

Mysti's Adult and Family Services, which serves clients across California alongside its work in Washington State, said the company wanted to feature the interview because access to services in Alameda County remains complex and under-publicized for many residents. The Giovanne Show focuses on community leaders working at the intersection of service, equity, and impact.

The full episode is available on YouTube via The Giovanne Show channel and at schachere.com. The Giovanne Show profiles community leaders working across Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and surrounding areas.
