Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Kenichi Hori, hereinafter "Mitsui") has decided to donate 5 million yen to Otsuchi Town Hall as disaster relief for the extensive forest fire damage that occurred in Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture on April 22. As a company that owns forests, we hope to contribute to the restoration of the affected areas and rebuilding of the lives of the victims. In addition, we will also solicit support funds from Mitsui officers and employees.
We sincerely hope for the normalization of the lives of those affected.
