Chad McGowan, partner at McGowan, Hood, & Felder, LLC, has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). This prestigious organization is invitation-only, and membership is restricted to civil trial attorneys who have brought at least 10 trials to jury. —
“I am honored to have been invited to be a member of ABOTA,” said Chad McGowan. “The right to a civil jury trial is espoused in the 7th Amendment. This group has dedicated itself to protecting that right, as my partners and I have done for years. I am excited to see what the future holds, and to doing my part in it.”
ABOTA has more than 7,600 invited members in 97 different chapters, across all 50 states. The organization’s purpose is “to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.”
