Matthew J. Sullivan, principal of Core Four Construction, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who, a prestigious recognition in the construction industry. This third-generation builder has carved out a notable career blending family tradition with leadership.
Mr. Sullivan's hands-on approach sets him apart in the industry. He's often found on-site five days a week overseeing major projects while managing the company's operations. "Being present on the ground allows me to ensure that our projects not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations," Mr. Sullivan shares.
His construction roots run deep. Mr. Sullivan learned the trade from his father who worked alongside his grandfather at HRH Construction. This family connection has instilled in him a profound respect for craftsmanship and quality. "My grandfather laid the foundation for our family's legacy in construction and my father taught me the value of hard work and dedication," he mentions.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Sullivan is actively involved with The Jesuit Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His community engagement and professional excellence earned him the prestigious 35 Under 35 Award in 2023.
Mr. Sullivan's journey includes stints at Rivco Construction Ltd., H & F Restoration and Construction and United Structural Works. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business economics from Fairfield University.
Balancing work and family life, Mr. Sullivan coaches his son's soccer team and enjoys basketball and running. With a third child on the way, he remains committed to growing Core Four Construction while prioritizing his team's well-being. "Every project we undertake is a testament to our team's dedication and I am proud to lead such a talented group," Mr. Sullivan said.
