The initiative will help organisations grow while pushing the envelope of green technologies, supporting those reducing environmental risks.

-- Wildfish Limited is inviting UK businesses and charities to enter a competition for the firm to build their web apps, sites or MVPs for free. Based on their green tech, the London-based software development consultancy says up to £50,000 worth of services is up for grabs for one lucky winner.

“Our aim for this promotion is to help organisations push their green agendas forward and support the global transition to a net zero economy in whatever small way we can,” says company executive Ferdinand de Lisser. “We want to help companies and charities bring their innovations to life by enhancing their offerings and increasing the chances of commercialisation for their products and services.”

Wildfish is willing to work on new or existing ideas. The consultancy will build the backend of the new property using Django, integrate any datasets companies currently have, display them on dashboards, construct APIs and build incredible interfaces for the front end for improved user engagement.

Entrants must answer a few questions about their project and being a registered UK entity to enter the competition. The entrant will retain all intellectual property rights to their idea.

“The competition ends January 26th,” de Lisser says, “so we encourage those wanting a chance at winning this incredible prize to step forward with their applications soon. We don’t want anyone to miss out.”

Wildfish will announce the winner of the competition on 16 February 2024. The lucky victor will then have the opportunity to get their new property built by the consultancy, providing them with up to £50,000 of value while helping them work towards various environmental targets.

“If entrants want to read more about the terms and conditions, they can do so at our website,” de Lisser says. “We recommend everyone provides us with a complete summary of their project and the pressing need or challenge behind it. We also want to see how the project will improve innovation and fit into existing business models.” Entrants wanting to provide any schematics, project plans or diagrams to support their entries can upload them along with the rest of the application.
