-- Lisa Driggers Milam, Founder of American Women’s Empowerment (AWE), was honored with the renowned ‘Excellence In Healthcare Award’ at the Spring Edition of Health 2.0 Conference. Hosted at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from March 4–6, 2025, the event highlighted pioneers transforming the future of healthcare. Lisa was spotlighted for her advocacy and leadership in women’s wellness and mental health support.
As the driving force behind American Women’s Empowerment, Lisa created a nonprofit platform devoted to healing and uplifting women who have endured emotional abuse, bullying, and harassment. AWE’s mission is to help women reclaim their voices, rebuild confidence, and achieve personal wholeness. Through community outreach and support-driven programs, Lisa empowers high-achieving women left paralyzed by trauma to rediscover their strength and purpose.
A national speaker and thought leader, Lisa is known for addressing what women need most—safe spaces to be heard, seen, and supported. Her work sits at the intersection of psychology, empowerment, and health advocacy, offering survivors a roadmap to recovery rooted in compassion and resilience.
Her background includes extensive experience across the medical device sector, nonprofit leadership, sales, event coordination, and healthcare advocacy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
Outside her professional commitments, Lisa lives in Ellijay, Georgia, with her husband and continues to support her four grown children in pursuing their dreams. She enjoys reading, writing, and painting as ways to reflect and connect with her inner creativity.
